I named him Otieno. I love these snake men, especially this one. I'm so bloody tired.

I didn't want to draw. I've been struggling to churn out
something for the past few days. IF's just been -frustrating-...I've been frustrated.
So when R asked for some pchatting I resisted internally but went along with his suggestion regardless. I was having major issues. Sitting back after a couple hours of erasing and steaming I may not have much (he's got some amazing stuff) but I'm happy with what I did get out. Even if it doesn't seem like anything at all.

Played with in OpenCanvas3.03 instead.

Got to draw in pchat, just a little but it was good. I miss it. Hopefully I can go back to it tonight when I get home from work because I would like to finish this.

Special Edition Repaint! OMG!

Color! Though I'm "unhappy" with it, it's little and simple so I may redo it when I get home.

Kiki meets a mechanical pencil, a brush pen and my sick love of super deformed Japanese toon things.

Illustration Friday's "reinvent" topic. I've had Bright Eyes' "From A Balance Beam" stuck in my head -- that's where the lyrics come from:
"It was in a foreign hotel bathtub I baptized myself in change and one by one I drowned all of the people I had been and I emerged to find the parallels were fewer. I was cleansed. I looked in a mirror and someone new was there..."
Done in OpenCanvas3.03 approximately an hour and a half.
I really hated doing this. I kept going away and coming back and it took much longer than it should have. I think I spent 3 hours fiddling around trying to get away from it only to come back and sit here for 15-45 minutes at a time to draw. Blech.

Doodled on the bus on the way home, colored in OpenCanvas3.03. Boys should wear hair pins and pink.

Something for

I missed the last one...but meh. I don't have time as it is. This is a scene from Haruki Murakami's
Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World. If you haven't read the book I highly suggest taking a look. I just finished my second run at it. If you would like a further explanation feel free to ask...it just spoils the book if I say so. So I'll just leave that for now. I'm pretty happy with this for a speed sketch.

Background was crap. Is still crap...I have no patience, but at least it seems to suit her more?

Coloring eet in OpenCanvas3.03, yay.
